    EAC / Budget Process

    • Drive the process of annual budgeting exercise from commencement to completion by coordinating functional / program team meetings, coordinating functional and program inputs, presentation, summarising action plans and follow up
    • Deliverables include the development and finalisation of presentations for the leadership team for purposes of presenting to the group management for buy off
    • To challenge and analyse inputs / key assumptions e.g. rates, prices, cost base, etc. to identify key issues and trends, risks and opportunities and enable decision making
    • To support the program team on all financial matters from forecasting to Basis of Estimates to actual reporting
    • To co-ordinate EAC forecast financial inputs ensuring Spirit Malaysia satisfies all reporting requirements and requests from Spirit UK / Spirit Inc on a timely basis
    • To handle all subsequent questions/issues arising from the submission of EAC forecast, ensuring timely, accurate and clear responses are provided
    • To ensure high-quality submissions of Income Statement, Balance Sheet & Cash Flow to Spirit UK for EAC forecast
    • To support the EAC process through analysis of quarter-to-quarter variances
    • Reconciliation of latest plans against original program business case, identify gap-closing measures

    Performance management reporting

    • Provide timely and accurate functional and program financial management information
    • Review actual and forecast performance; analyse functional incurred CPR variance per Spirit Inc requirement through review meetings with budget holders, provide appropriate commentary and recommending appropriate corrective actions

    Driving continuous improvements

    • Participating in effective cost management projects
    • To provide support and co-operation to Business Improvement activities by monitoring the performance of saving initiatives built into project plans


    • To support quarterly stock-count activity by ensuring counts are undertaken diligently and accurately
    • To be capable of handling large volumes of data and consolidating and reporting this data effectively through utilisation of strong IT skills
    • To provide financial advice and support to non-financial Business Functions on all matters having a potential financial impact to the business
    • To undertake ad hoc requests as necessary to satisfy both internal and external customers
    • To ensure all financial reporting complies with relevant accounting standards and legal and regulatory requirements
    • To develop strong and productive working relationships with the wider organisation to ensure information incorporated into EAC is correct, current and has full buy-in

    Employee-specific tasks

    • Perform weekly material spend data to load into TM1 and generate material spend scorecard
    • Perform monthly actuals data load from SAP, including allocations into TM1 and generate CPR by cost centre and function
    • Take lead in preparing the required templates for EAC forecast data load into TM1
    • Undertake weekly and ad hoc reporting required by Spirit Inc.


    • Minimum 4 to 5 years of experience with relevant Accounting qualification (degree, professional qualification or its equivalent)
    • IT literate: proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, experience with SAP or similar ERP system & TM1/Xcelerator would be an advantage
    • Capable of making formal presentations
    • Self-managed, with experience and ability to lead and manage projects, willing to learn and confident in approach to dealing with all areas and levels of the business
    • Willingness to challenge information rather than take on face value.
    • Able to assimilate the knowledge of the business, understand underlying processes and transactions, trends and ratios
    • Commercially aware, meticulousness, and with high levels of integrity
    • Able to use knowledge and experience to promote process improvement
    • Able to communicate and engage as well as forge effective working relationships
